I met Irene recently on a yoga retreat and she asked me to photograph her family reunion. We chose the amazing Buitenverwachting wine farm to give the shoot a traditional Cape background. It was so heartwarming to capture the wonderful bonds between the siblings and how happy everyone was to be re-united for Christmas holiday. Irene, I hope you’re having a very special time together and these photographs will remind you of your happy time.

A very quick family shoot to celebrate 2 lovely families coming together before Christmas and heading off on separate holidays. Since the sun was blazing, I made a impromptu studio in Sandra’s beautiful home to do some simple family portraits. I hope you enjoy your portraits!

It was such a pleasure to photograph Gregor and Jamie before they went off to their Matric Dance - they both looked beautiful and their excitement in the air was tangible! The baby blue Mustang was an amazing prop for our shoot, but sadly, it only made it as far as the shoot and not much further! I hope you enjoy your pre-dance photos!

the wonderful wardalls

Friend and fellow photographer, Brenda Wardall, and I have been doing family photoshoot swaps over the years, as photographers never seem to be in any of their own family photographs! Hope you like your photographs, you look really great on the wrong side of the lens too!

brad & candice - maternity shoot

When Candice suggested we do her maternity shoot in Oranjekloof Nature Reserve, at the base of Constantia Nek, I jumped at the opportunity.  We had a great shoot, Candice looked radiant, so did Brad and so did Candice's horse who graced us with her presence!  I hope you like your photos and they'll bring happy memories of your pregnancy with Baby Lucca.  Wishing you so much happiness and joy as you go into the parenting adventure!

We couldn't have been luckier with the weather - a perfect, wind-free, beautiful sunset evening on my favourite beach, Llandudno to photograph Marie's beautiful family (we were joined by a whole bank of photographers sharing the same idea!) Marie and I share a mutual love of our four legged friends and we have become firm dog-walking beach friends, so of course, Leo and Charlie, the Roman Waterdogs,  had to be included in the family shoot.  I loved photographing your beautiful family in your beach "garden" and I hope that we captured a fleeting moment in time!

It was a beautiful summer's evening on Clifton Dog beach to photograph dear friends Siliva and Filipo with their furry child, Martina, before they head back to Italy in March. Martina had a wonderful time chasing and barking at the waves and sure she will miss Cape Town.  Such a special bond you have with your beautiful dog.

It is especially wonderful to re photograph families after a few years have passed and to see how children have grown, and how girls have changed into beautiful young women.  It was lovely to spend time with you all again in the beautiful, sunny Kirstenbosch gardens and I hope that you will continue returning to Cape Town en famille.

I had the privilege of doing a family shoot for my friend and life coach, Susan and her beautiful family.

I knew Susan wasn't very happy about having her photograph taken but I hope that this photograph of you and your boys, will make it worth it for you.
