It is a privilege to be asked back to photograph the same family over the years…. I had a very special session on a deserted Llandudno beach with Ang, Gavin, Ariella, and Griffin (also canine family members Lucy and a boy name Sue). Thank you so much for waiting for my return to Cape Town to carry on this tradition of photographing your BEAUTIFUL family. I enjoyed every minute of it.
It is a privilege to watch families grow over the years… I photographed Ang, Gavin and Ariella when Ang was pregnant. And this time I met the latest member of the family, Griffin, who is absolutely beautiful. It is always so lovely to spend time with you all and I so enjoy our shoots together. It was very hard to choose my favourites from your shoot as there were so many! I love the different dynamics of photographing families as no two are ever the same. I spent a wonderful hour with Ali and her family exploring the Constantia green belt which is one of my favourite locations to shoot. Ali, your children are so gorgeous and so full of energy and spirit -I hope you enjoy your photographs of your beautiful family. Also, I’m so happy that your dogs were also included as family members in the shoot!
Such a lovely shoot with Marie’s beautiful family and including Leo and Charlie in this scenic location. We braved the forces of nature for this shoot - it was SO windy but am so happy with the photos and think the wind did actually add a wild beauty to the shoot! Marie, has been a huge privilege getting to know you, your dogs and your family and so happy to capture your family.
More than a year has gone past since I first photographed Leonardo, when he was only a few months old. I love witnessing the passage of time as baby boy become a toddler, bravely exploring the world around him - pulling apart lilies and running through the long grass. Leonardo was an absolute angel - you have such a beautiful child Paris and Robert
There is something amazing about the big family dynamic and I am always in awe of Paul and Aretti who are the most calm and collected parents (maybe because they’ve had so much practice!). I also love re photographing families I’ve worked with before and this was our third shoot together, on Bakoven beach which is one of my favourite spots in Cape Town. I had such a lovely late afternoon maternity / family shoot on the beach with Angi, Gavin and their beautiful little girl Ariella, who was so beautifully behaved and clearly loved my camera! She tasted sand for the first time and so loved the feeling of the sand beneath her feet. It was such a pleasure to photograph you all and wishing you so much luck for the next chapter and welcoming your new baby into your family.
It is such a privilege to be part of the journey recording couples becoming parents - from the pregnancy to the arrival of their first child. Paris and Robert looked completely besotted with their beautiful, blue eyed baby boy Leonardo - I think they forgot I was there! It was wonderful to photograph Brad, Candice & Luca in their lovely home. I had photographed Candice’s pregnancy 15 months earlier so it was a double joy to meet gorgeous Lucca and to photograph Candice’s second bump. It was very special to do the shoot at home and Lucca was so happy and comfortable to be in his own space - it felt like we captured a little slice of your life! So excited that you have a little girl coming to join your family soon!

One of the luckiest things that happened to me when I moved to Cape Town 11 years ago was I met Belen. It’s been a friendship and a family for me and I wanted to give something back to my dear friend who has so completely steadfast in her friendship and love. As a photographer, it’s wonderful to see the families you photograph on regular intervals. I’ve been photographing Oscar since he was 2 (he’s been one of my favourite models) and such a pleasure to see him again as a cheeky & almost front toothless boy! My December holiday in Knysna happened to lap over Sasha’s family reunion in Noetsie, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We had a lovely shoot with the last light of the day in this most beautiful place. I really enjoyed our time together.
I met Irene recently on a yoga retreat and she asked me to photograph her family reunion. We chose the amazing Buitenverwachting wine farm to give the shoot a traditional Cape background.It was so heartwarming to capture the wonderful bonds between the siblings and how happy everyone was to be re-united for Christmas holiday. Irene, I hope you’re having a very special time together and these photographs will remind you of your happy time.
A very quick family shoot to celebrate 2 lovely families coming together before Christmas and heading off on separate holidays. Since the sun was blazing, I made a impromptu studio in Sandra’s beautiful home to do some simple family portraits. I hope you enjoy your portraits!
It was such a pleasure to photograph Gregor and Jamie before they went off to their Matric Dance - they both looked beautiful and their excitement in the air was tangible! The baby blue Mustang was an amazing prop for our shoot, but sadly, it only made it as far as the shoot and not much further! I hope you enjoy your pre-dance photos!

When Candice suggested we do her maternity shoot in Oranjekloof Nature Reserve, at the base of Constantia Nek, I jumped at the opportunity.
